Learn More About Our Kitchen & Bathroom Cabinet Facelift Process

How to Get Started!

  • Schedule an in-home design consultation. Our design consultant will bring a selection of door styles and color samples for you to look at in your kitchen and will help coordinate the right look for your space. They will also discuss any additional options available for your kitchen or bathroom that can help make your space more functional and user friendly.
  • If you prefer, an initial appointment can be made to meet in our showroom in Lancaster, PA.
  • You will then receive a proposal based on the results of your personal design consultation.

Order Placement & Project Schedule

  • Once the specifics of your project are established and you are ready to place an order, a final measure is scheduled, and a 50% deposit is collected.
  • Your install will be scheduled based on expected delivery (about 6-10 weeks after the order is placed, depending on the manufacturer). The install typically takes 3-5 days, but may vary based on the scope of your project and can be discussed with your design consultant.

Installation

  • Prior to the installation, you will need to remove everything from your cabinets, drawers and countertops and temporarily store them safely away from the working area.
  • The day of install will begin with our installer prepping the space for your kitchen transformation—covering countertops and flooring, disposing of, and preparing cabinets for their facelift! A 40% payment will be due at project start.
  • Over the next few work days, your new doors and drawer fronts and matching veneer/laminate, hardware and any accessories will be expertly installed.

Final Inspection

  • After all the details are completed and our installation team has finished their work, a final inspection with your design consultant will ensure everything is completed to your satisfaction. At that time, the remaining 10% balance will be collected.
  • If anything requires additional attention, it will be promptly handled at an arranged time as quickly as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions on Cabinet Refacing

What is cabinet refacing?

Refacing is the replacement of your doors and drawer fronts with a new door style in the color or stain of your choice. A matching wood veneer or laminate is then adhered to all cabinet frames and visible sides of your cabinet boxes. This process creates the look of brand-new cabinetry.

What is included with cabinet refacing?

Our cabinet refacing includes disposing of your old doors and replacing them with doors and drawer fronts in the style and color of your choosing. We then transform your existing cabinet frames by applying a matching veneer or laminate. New soft close hinges on your doors as well as installation of new drawer knobs and pulls are included. Choose from our extensive range of cabinet styles and finishes to ensure that your new kitchen matches your desired style.

How do I know if cabinet refacing is right for me?

If your existing cabinets are in good condition and you’re happy with your current kitchen layout, then cabinet refacing is an excellent option for transforming your kitchen’s appearance at a fraction of the cost of a complete kitchen remodel.

How do you protect my kitchen during the construction process?

Trust us to take extreme measures to ensure that every area of your home is protected while we’re working. We’ll cover every area where we’ll be working – including your floors, countertops, and appliances with protective materials. Our installers maintain a tidy work space during the entire installation process.

Do I need to be home during the installation?

No, it is not necessary to be home the entire time. You will work with your personal design consultant to schedule your installation and make sure the project is on task. Your consultant will contact you during the process to ensure that you’re aware of when our crew will be arriving at your home each day.

Will I be able to use my kitchen during the construction?

When you choose to do a major kitchen remodel, you might not be able to use it for several weeks, which is a big inconvenience. With cabinet refacing, you can expect your kitchen will be non-functional during the installation. But with refacing taking only 3-5 days, you will have the complete functionality of your kitchen back in no time!
